Professional Shutter Repairs Across Surrey & South West London

Shutters take daily use, and things wear or break: a slat snaps, a hinge seizes, a panel starts to sag, a tilt rod comes away. You almost never need a whole new set. We repair shutters of most makes across Surrey and South West London, whoever fitted them, and most jobs are done on-site the first time we visit.

Repairs are what we do most

Plenty of companies will happily sell you a whole new set of shutters when one part has failed. We would rather fix the part. A repair keeps the shutters you already have, costs a fraction of replacement, and is usually finished in a morning. The one time we will tell you to replace is when the frames themselves are genuinely beyond saving, and we will say so plainly rather than quietly upselling.

What's wrong with yours?

The common faults we see, what they look like, and how we put them right. Not sure which one you've got? Send a photo and we'll tell you.

Broken or missing louvres

What you'll see: a snapped, cracked or missing slat, often after a knock, a slammed window or a pet.

The fix: individual louvres replaced and colour-matched to the rest, so the repair is invisible.

Snapped or detached tilt rod

What you'll see: the bar that tilts the louvres has come away or broken, so the slats no longer move together.

The fix: the tilt rod and its staples are reattached or replaced so the whole panel moves as one again.

Stiff or floppy louvres

What you'll see: louvres that won't hold the angle you set, or have gone stiff to move.

The fix: re-tensioned so they move smoothly and stay put, no more slats drifting shut on their own.

Seized or broken hinge

What you'll see: a panel hanging crooked, catching on the frame, or not closing at all.

The fix: the hinge is replaced and the neighbouring panels re-levelled so the whole set sits square.

Sagging or dropped panel

What you'll see: a panel that has dropped in the frame and no longer closes flush or latches.

The fix: re-hung and adjusted so it closes flush and latches cleanly again.

Loose magnets and catches

What you'll see: panels that swing open on their own or won't stay shut.

The fix: magnets, catches and fixings renewed so panels hold closed properly.

Water-damaged or swollen slats

What you'll see: slats near a bathroom or kitchen that have warped, swollen or discoloured.

The fix: affected slats replaced (with moisture-resistant material where it suits the room) and blended in.

Frame coming away from the wall

What you'll see: the whole frame working loose from the window reveal.

The fix: re-fixed securely with fresh packers and fixings. A shutter that won't close on a ground floor is a security issue, so we prioritise these.
