    Get in touch

Call us, send a photo on WhatsApp, or fill in the form with a line about the job. However you reach us, you'll speak to the team who'll actually do the work, not a call centre.

  2. 02

    Send a few photos

Photos of the complete shutter and the fault give us useful context for an initial assessment. When the cause, dimensions or condition need checking in person, we arrange a free home visit, including evening appointments.

  3. 03

    Get a clear quote

We come back with a straightforward, no-obligation price, usually within a day or two. It's itemised, so you can see exactly what you're paying for. No sales pitch, no pressure to decide on the spot.

  4. 04

    Booked in and done

Happy with the quote? We schedule the agreed work. Most repairs are finished in a single visit, and we explain beforehand when a job needs workshop conditions.

Choose the service that matches the job

The first steps are similar, but the checks and practical options depend on whether the shutters need fitting, repairing or restoring.

What to include in your photos

You do not need to take anything apart. Three simple views usually give us enough context for a useful first assessment.

The whole shutter

Take one photo that shows the complete shutter, frame and window opening. This helps us see how the panels sit together.

The fault close up

Add a clear close-up of the broken louvre, loose tilt rod, hinge, magnet or damaged finish. Keep any loose parts so we can identify them.

The panel from the side

If a panel has dropped, catches or will not close, a side view helps show the gap, hinge position and frame alignment.

Why we ask for photos first

Clear photos can show the complete shutter, the affected panel and the visible fault. That gives us enough context to identify the likely service and tell you whether the next step is more photos, an on-site assessment or a written scope.

When a job genuinely needs measuring up, involves an awkward bay, or needs more involved restoration, we'll arrange a free home visit and bring what we need. Either way, the quote comes with no obligation and no hard sell.

What we check during a home visit

A visit is for jobs that need measuring, closer inspection or a decision between repair, restoration and refitting.

What has failed

We check the affected part and the surrounding components, because a dropped panel or stiff louvre can have more than one cause.

What can be kept

We separate the parts that can be repaired or adjusted from anything that genuinely needs replacing, then explain the practical options.

What the job involves

Before work starts, we confirm the scope, the price and whether the repair can be completed in the visit or needs workshop work.

Repairs backed for 12 months

Repair work has a 12-month workmanship warranty. New made-to-measure shutters have a 10-year personal guarantee. For a new set, start with Shutters Design. For repairs, call us directly on 07776 123 386 and we sort it.
