Elmbridge
Weybridge fitting-only enquiries are checked for supplied-part completeness and opening compatibility. Faulty or tired installed shutters follow a repair or restoration assessment.
A Weybridge fitting-only assessment checks the complete customer-owned shutter set against the specific opening, handles, fixing surface and panel resting space. Missing or incompatible components are identified before fitting is accepted. For shutters already installed, we inspect support, hinges, louvre controls, panel gaps and material condition before separating a focused repair from broader restoration work and agreeing the scope.
Elmbridge records the Weybridge Town Centre conservation area around the historic core and the Church of St James.
For customer-owned shutters, a complete supplied set is the starting point. We compare its frame depth, panel sizes and fittings with the Weybridge opening, including handles and the space beside the window. Send a full-window view and any supplier layout before booking so suitability can be checked alongside the parts available.
Elmbridge treats Monument Green and Templemere as separate Weybridge conservation areas, and identifies Templemere as a 1960s development.
For a curved or angled opening, show every face and frame junction rather than sending one overall measurement. The supplied panel layout must allow the shutters and the window behind them to move without obstruction. Existing shutters with changed gaps need their hinges and frame support checked before re-hanging or restoration is agreed.
The visible fault is only one part of the decision. We also check the supporting frame, connected hardware and how the complete shutter moves in the real opening.
repair
A Weybridge bay or larger detached-home panel is assessed across its support and complete gap pattern. A rubbing edge can stem from hinge wear, frame movement or panel weight, while a louvre fault needs its connector and row checked separately.
fitting
Customer-owned shutters for a large or non-standard Weybridge opening need every frame section, hinge and panel matched to the reveal. Window handles, curved or angled details and the full resting space are confirmed before fitting.
restoration
Older Weybridge timber shutters can support restoration when their structure remains firm enough to retain. Several mechanical repairs and finish work can then be planned together, with damaged material excluded before preparation.
Photograph the full Weybridge opening from straight on and both sides. Add every hinge and frame fixing on the affected panel, measured gaps and close views of louvre profile, joints and finish. Include special glazing or curved details in context.
